Hey, friends! My name is Stephanie McArthur, and I am the Founder and President of Amora's Mission. While both titles hold a special place in my heart, the most important title I have earned is "Mommy"! As a mother to a daughter with Down syndrome, it is no secret the "why" behind my dedication and passion to serving our local Down syndrome community. After our daughter, Amora, was born, I quickly saw the need for more support, resources, and education, but most importantly, the need for community and an easy way to connect with other local families after receiving a Down syndrome diagnosis. I will strive to make sure that no family feels alone on their journey, and I know that together we can make the impact where it's needed most. Thank you for joining us!

We aim to partner with medical professionals who may deliver a Down syndrome diagnosis, and those who may care for the family after the child is born. We provide rack cards to these facilities to ensure that the families who need our services can get them.
Our organization provides opportunities for caregivers to come together and learn how to advocate and navigate more comfortably on their unique journey. This may include classes like better understanding an IEP, finding the medical insurance that suits their child's needs, resources available to utilize, etc.
A huge part of our mission is to connect local families with one another because we know how crucial a supportive community is. We love to provide free or cheap events for families all over NWFL who love someone with Down syndrome can come together and celebrate while creating lasting memories and friendships.
